This layer provides metadata for onshore active seismic survey lines acquired by Geoscience Australia and collaborative partners. The information provided by this layer includes survey header data, line location and positional information, and the energy source type and parameters used to acquire the seismic line data.

This layer provides metadata for passive seismic stations deployed by Geoscience Australia and its collaborative partners. The metadata are a subset of information held in StationXML files available for download via the publication URL provided with each dataset. The metadata includes the station location, operational information, seismic network and instrument response with the time and orientation corrections.

This web service delivers metadata for onshore active and passive seismic surveys conducted across the Australian continent by Geoscience Australia and its collaborative partners. The metadata includes survey header information, location and positional information of traverses and stations, instrument identification and data acquisition parameters. The metadata are maintained in Geoscience Australia's onshore active seismic and passive seismic database, which is being added to as new surveys are undertaken. Links to datasets, reports and other publications for the seismic surveys are provided in the metadata.
